Message well enough time for him to either respond or to make the situation right. It sounds like from other forum members that he is a stand up and honest individual and was either something he accidentally overlooked or was unaware of. I understand your frustration to receive a part like this but you haven't given Doug any chance to rectify what you are unhappy with. Posts like this can be very damaging to an individual's reputation and in a lot of instances are irreparable. Thankfully there are other members who have dealt with Doug to stand up for him.

Though I believe it is helpful to inform the general public forum of a "scammer", I feel that this may not be the case. This is not to say I am taking sides with anyone, just that posting such a bold and potentially damaging statement should not be made unless you have gone thought every avenue of communication with the other party to fix the pending issue with no resolve and if you truly feel they are or were trying to scam you.

A better approach would be to do a general inquiry post asking who has had experience dealing with the party in question and get some feedback. This will usually help with your premonitions of if someone is trying to be deceiving.

Sincerely
Charles Park
